Arnold Gee, Sr

Arnold Clarence Gee Sr., 89, of 376 Warren Road died unexpectedly Sunday morning, August 10, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield after a brief illness. Mr. Gee was born April 23, 1914 in Leon, Kentucky living in the Mansfield area since 1943. He was retired from Empire Detroit Cyclops in 1976. He was veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Gee loved fishing and hunting with family and friends in his younger years. He loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their families.

He is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, John Gee of Summerville, South Carolina, Arnold Jr. and Marlene Gee, Jim and Michelle Gee, Glen and Judy Gee and Rick and Pam Gee, all of Mansfield; four daughters, Anna and James Owens, Willa Walters, Sharon and Billy Link and Deb and Roy Crose, all of Mansfield; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Herma Riggs and Mary Hamilton, both of Mansfield; two former wives, Anna Sharp Gee of Eastland, Texas and Georgia Thompson Gee of Mansfield; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clarence and Lula Shephard Gee; his wife, Hazel Emelean Perry Gee December 18, 1965; a grandson, James A. Owens Jr.; a brother, William Gee; and four sisters, Evie Perry, Bertha Baker, Amelia Pope and Grace Stamper.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Glen Phillips. Military services will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.
