

Art Anderson, 78, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 14, 1938 in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late Glen M. and Emily (Tobin) Anderson.
Art's father opened Anderson's Repair Inc. in 1940. Art was the owner/operator of the family business until it closed in 2014. The motto of the business was "Don't Cuss, Call Us". Art took great pride in his work but especially his towing business. He was proud of his family and his legacy. He was a an active member of the Grotto Hall, Elks, Moose Lodge, a 32nd Degree Mason at Venus Masonic Lodge #152 F & AM, and a member of High 12 Club. Art was very generous with all he had. His drink of choice was always Pepsi. Art enjoyed softball, bowling and was an avid golfer.
Art is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gerri (Young) Anderson; a daughter, Pam (Terry) Bjore; a grandson, Ben (Andrea Hopkins) Bjore; his siblings, Juanita (Dave) Moore, Beverly Bauer, Mary Ann (Tom) Charles, Darlene (Herb) Jones, and Darla Lindhout; a sister-in-law, Nancie Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; and two siblings, Ernest Anderson and Glenda Lomax.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Main St., Mansfield. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Jonathan Webb on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park in Lexington, OH.
