
Avis L. Gross, age 84, of Shiloh, died Thursday afternoon December 9, 2004 at Lexington Court Care Center. Born July 25, 1920 in Allen County, she was the daughter of Enos E. and Alma Stanyer Lee. She retired from Avon as a district sales manager.
Survivors include a son, Larry and Violet Gross; grandsons, Lonny and Beth Gross, Bob and Angela Cooper of Ashland; granddaughters, Nanette and Jerry Coon of Shelby, Rachelle and Russell Ward of Johnsville, Angela Cooper of Ashland, and Trilina Fife of Mansfield; 15 great grandchildren, Nathan, Justin, Christi, Brody, Roger, Kelly, Andria, Aaron, Toni, Travis, Gage, Songa, Ethan, Breauna, and Dustin; two great great grandchildren; nephews, Jim Hanes of McKinney, Texas, Dan Hanes of Heinesville, Georgia, Steve Hanes of Dayton, and Jack Gross of Cridersville; sister Doris Bly of Lima; brothers, Dick Lee, and Bob Lee, both of Lima; and brother-in-law, Don Gross of Wapakeneta. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl E. Gross; sister, Wilma Hanes; and brother, James Lee.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday December 12, 2004 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday December 13 at the funeral home with Bishop Ronald e. Beady officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
