
He was born September 17, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan & has resided in the Mansfield area for 16 years. He was employed by G.M. for 27 years as a tool & die welder. He was a member of the Mansfield Liederkranz, Amvets, & the Moose Lodge of Mansfield.
He was an avid bowler, golfer, horseshoe player & active in Nascar racing & Harley Motorcycling.
After passing to be with the Lord he is survived by his wife, Pam of 33 years; son & daughter-in-law, Rodney & Opal Phillips of Mansfield; daughter, Patricia Phillips of Palm Desert, CA, a daughter & son-in-law, Debi & Raymond Westfield of Lexington; a son, David Allen Komor of Dearborn Heights, MI; eight grandchildren, Dustin, Kaitlin, Brandyn, Ashli, Kristina, Danny, Melissa, & Michael; his father & his wife, Harold & Marge Phillips of Misawaka, Indiana; mother, Esther Phillips of Royal Oak, MI; six brothers, Duaine, Bryan, Fred, Edward, Tommy, & Harold Phillips, & step-sister, Delores White all of Michigan; special family friends, Chris, Ernie, & Mike Snair of CA; Jim & Tina Weeden of Mifflin, OH; Dempsey & Nicki Cooper of Mansfield, OH; & special friends Paula Rhodes, Scott & Sherry & his buddy Hooch.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday September 10, 1999 one hour prior to a memorial service from 3-4 p.m. and the memorial service will be held Friday September, 10, 1999 at 4 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Duaine Phillips of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Pontiac, MI. Private burial in Mansfield Cemetery.
