Bernice "Bea" Cole

Bea grew up in the Ashland/Perrysville area and worked at L & K Restaurant in Mansfield in her early years. She then worked as a nurse aide for many years. She completed her work career at Arbors of Mifflin where worked in the laundry department until her 70s. She was a valued employee and will be remembered as a hard worker. Bea carried that work ethic to her personal life and put her all into every task she accomplished.

She was an easy going, friendly woman who didn't like turmoil and avoided conflict whenever she could. Once she settled something in her mind, Bea could be stubborn and stuck to her convictions. Bea was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and especially enjoyed seeing the little ones every chance she could get. She had a tender and caring spirit and her face always had a smile. Bea enjoyed crochet, word search puzzles and was an avid reader.

She is survived by three children, Teresa (Sanford) Holden Sr. of Mount Vernon, OH, James Cole of Mansfield and Lauresa Byus of Fort Wayne, IN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with another three on the way; and a brother, James E. (Dianne) Leibolt of Perrysville. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ranson D. Cole; parents; and grandson, James D. Cole Jr.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road.
