Betty Blevins Roush

Betty J. Conn Blevins Roush, 60, of Mansfield, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a battle with a rare cancer, Carcinoid. Born August 3, 1948 in Portsmouth, she was the daughter of Will and Vica Stephenson Conn. Betty had attended Ashland schools and was an area homemaker. She attended Crossroads. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with friends. Betty enjoyed visiting Myrtle Beach and playing BINGO.

She is survived by three sons, James W. Kimberly Blevins, Michael Libby Blevins, all of Ontario, and Brian Rasan Blevins of Mansfield; seven grandchildren, James G., Ashley, Nicholas, Casey, Mason, Brianne, and Isabelle Blevins; one great-grandson, Colton J. Blevins; two sisters, Shirley Blevins of Mansfield and Carol McKnight of Orlando, Florida; special niece and nephew, Vickie and Johnny Blevins; host of other nieces and nephews; special friend and confidant, Richard "Dickie" Jensen; special friends, Gracie, and Ernie; and numerous other good friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, George W. Blevins; parents; and sister, Darlene Pevy.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 8, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors conducted by Reverend Ralph Leathers. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses or the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital.
