Betty B. Fawcett, 78, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning, December 19, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield following an extended illness. Mrs. Fawcett was born January 7, 1924 in Pennsylvania residing in the Mansfield area most of her life. She retired from Woodlawn Nursing Home and was a member of Hanna Road Church of God. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed and forever loved.
Surviving are four sons, Lawrence Fawcett of Florida; Donald and Nick Fawcett both of Mansfield; and Gene Sweet of Ashland; one daughter, Janet Felder of Arizona; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Virginia Warner Pickens ; her husband in 1975, Lawrence Fawcett; one son, Bob Adams and one sister, Helen Lewis.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, one hour prior to funeral services, which will be held on Saturday December 21, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. conducted by the Rev. Floyd Scaggs of Hanna Road Church of God. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
