Betty Hart, age 85, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013. She was born October 31, 1927 in Mansfield and was the daughter of Gertrude (Brown) and Eugene Hassinger.
Betty was a 1945 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and retired from the Mansfield Police Department in 1992.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Dixie (Jim) Bates; son, Gene (Kit) Hart; sister, Margaret Grassel; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private service will be held for the family at a later date.
