Betty Sims, 80, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, OH. Betty grew up in Mansfield, but was most recently residing in Brandon, FL until returning to Shelby in 2012.
Betty was born December 3, 1933 to the late Robert W. and Mable (Griffin) Harmony. She attended Mansfield Senior High where she was active in cheerleading.
She is survived by five sons, Phil B. and Terry Sims of Tampa, FL, Brian, Guy (Karen) and Jeffery Sims, all of Mansfield; sister, Sherry K. (Bill) Robinson of Willard; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phil Sims; brother, Noel H. Harmony; and her companion of many years, Tom Hammond.
