Betty Turner

Born May 29, 1926 in Michigan, she was the daughter of Walter and Emma Schroder. A homemaker, she was a loving mother and grandmother and did not let her disability ever get in her way, always having a bright smile. She enjoyed the company of her Boston Terriers but her greatest enjoyment were her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (James) Burton of Mansfield; a son, Robert (Sandra) Turner of Bellville; nine grandchildren, Scott (Andrea) Burton, Kelley (Robert) Burton, Timothy Burton, Scott (Connie) Case, Chris (Anne) Case, Richard Burton, Heather Burton, Amber Burton and Brent Turner; and 15 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Turner whom she married June 8, 1947; two brothers; and a sister.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
