

Billy B. Partin, 71, of Mansfield, died Thursday afternoon October 7, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Born December 13, 1932 in Artemus, Kentucky, he was the son of Thomas D. and Florence West Partin. He served in the United States Army and retired from General Motors. Mr. Partin was a member of the VFW in Perrysville, the co-owner of Mohican Bow Hunter's Club, and a national champion in indoor archery. He enjoyed playing guitar, loved animals, boating and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, whom he was with for 40 years, Rosa Aquino Partin; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Robert Van Riper of Mansfield; three sons and daughter-in-law, Billy B. Partin, Jr., Roger and Helen Partin and David Partin, all of Mansfield; three step children, Rose Marie Yates, John Anthony 'Tony' Fava, and Timmy Cooper, all of Mansfield; 14 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Virginia Partin of Mansfield and Thomas D. and Bertha Partin of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Raymond Cook of Zanesville and Bessie Jean Reynolds of Lucas; 23 nieces and nephews; and his parrot Sage. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Delores Blum, and Carrie Rose Partin, two sons, Larry Steven Partin and Michael Lane Partin, and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday October 10, 2004. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Cloyd Kress and Chris DeLozier officiating. Military graveside services will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
