Billy J. Petitt, 73, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 17, 1934 in Soldier, Kentucky, he was the son of John Cecil and Anna Reeder Petitt. He retired from the Ohio Brass Company. Mr. Petitt enjoyed working with leather, drawing and electronics.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Thomas Vance of Mansfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Vicki Petitt of Asheville, NC; numerous grandchildren; brother, John Paul Petitt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Petitt in 2002; son, Bobby Petitt in 2006; parents; and brother, Clyde Petitt.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with Rev. Matthew Pond officiating. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
