Bonnie Belcher

Bonnie Belcher, 72, of Mansfield, died Friday, February 22, 2008, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following an extended illness. Born March 11, 1935, in Clintwood, VA, she was the daughter of Hershel and Wealtha Tipton Yates. Bonnie had worked for Taylor Metals and was a member of the Mansfield Moose Lodge 341 Auxiliary and the VFW Post 9943 Auxiliary. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening and fishing and loved to sew.

Surviving are a daughter, Rita Keith Gregory of Mansfield; a son, Charles Colleen Belcher of New Washington; four grandchildren, Stefanie Ryan Reppert, Ryan Belcher, Dustin Mandy Gregory and Dana Jeremy Matz; two great grandchildren, Blake Gregory and William Matz; two sisters, Sue Kelver Delaney of Mansfield and Pauline Larry Jones of Chester, VA; and two aunts, Evelyn Edwards and Ruth Arrington both of Hayside, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Ray Belcher; two brothers, Gaither and Bobby Yates; and a sister, Betty Foster.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2008, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. David Root. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.
