Calvin Bond

A truck driver, he was a member of the Church of Christ in Mansfield and the Amvets. He enjoyed horse races, traveling and driving through the country but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Georgiana Bond of Mansfield; his children, Calvin Joseph (Gima) Bond of Sherman, IL, Doug (Mary) Bond of Argenta, IL, Jeff (Destinee) Bond, Kathy (Jeff) Bond, Andre (Mindy) Bond, Jason (April) Lowe, Ann Marie (Jason) Bond-Smith and William (Ashley) Bond all of Mansfield; 24 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Leon (Deloris) Bond of Mansfield, Emmett Bond of Shiloh, Curtis Bond of Mansfield, Thomas Bond of Shiloh, Elizabeth Broussard, James (Hazel) Bond, Glen (Patty) Bond, Lillian (Alfred) Smith and Katherine Azmoun all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cozzett Bond and a sister, Evelyn Withers.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Brother Aaron Beyon with additional calling hours one hour prior to the service, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh.
