Candido R. Rodriguez

Candido R. Rodriguez, 86, of Pearsell, Texas, passed away surrounded by his family Sunday evening, December 13, 2015, at the home of his granddaughter, Melanic and Matt Bowling. He was born September 4, 1929, in Pearsall, Texas, to the late Ernesto and Ninfa (Ramon) Rodriguez.

Candido spent his life being a rancher and was a very hard worker.

He is survived by nine children, Isabel Siller of TX, Soila (Juan) Ybarra of IN, Margarita Rodriguez of CO, Anna Cirilo of TX, Carmen (Elisa) Hererra of FL, Ernesto (Rosa) Rodriguez of TX, Gloria Rodriguez of IN, Caterina Briseno of TX and Helen (Michael) Pagano of West Salem, OH; forty-two grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Juana R. Hernandez and Julia R. Benavidez, both of TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hortencia Benavidez Rodriguez; daughter, Herlinda Ritter; a sister, Fransisca R. Viesca; four brothers, Pablo R. Rodriguez, Jose Vidal Rodriguez, Thomas R. Rodriguez and Rafael R. Rodriguez; and two grandchildren, Erik Dillman and Ernesto R. Martinez.

There will be no services held locally. A service will be held at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Home in Pearsall, Texas, with burial in Pearsall Catholic Cemetery. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
