
Carl E. Biglin, 78, of Galion died August 17, 2008. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family following a brief battle with cancer. Born January 21, 1930 in Shelby, he was the son of the late George Anthony and Daisy Irene Auck Biglin. He retired from ITT after 40 years of service and was a lifetime farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army. Carl was a member of Resurrection Parish and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Crestline and lifetime member of the Amvets of Galion. Carl enjoyed motorcycle rides and races, hunting, fishing, being outdoors in the woods, gardening and working on his farm. He was the most kind and giving person to everyone and possessed a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gail Maxine Myers Biglin; three daughters, Diana Ted Muntan of Lucas, Mary Biglin of AL, Lisa Tim Burdine of Galion; two sons, Steve Marion Biglin of Ontario, Dennis Biglin of Lexington and his special friend, Ann; twenty grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, William Biglin, Dale June Biglin, Wayne Linda Biglin, all of Crestline, Paul Biglin of FL; two sisters, Ruth Loren Claus of Crestline, Carol Gayle Whitney of Galion; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Biglin and a sister, Clara Skinner.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Carl's life will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008, at Resurrection Parish in Lexington conducted by Father Nelson Beaver.
