
Carol J. Perkins-Corn, 64, of Mansfield died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Corn was born October 10, 1939 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Clifford and Mary E. Perkins. She was the owner of the successful Highway Restaurant where all her customers enjoyed her home style cooking. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, cooking and baking, hummingbirds and her cats. Carol treasured her family and always put them first in her life.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronald L. Corn; two children and their spouses, Ronald L. Jr. and Samantha K. Corn of Rochester, New York and Kimberly Lynn and Bruce Brewer of Mansfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nancy Perkins of Norwalk, Ohio; a sister, Marlene Schulte of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Keith Corn; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Marvin Keinath; sister-in-law, Donna Corn; several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece who cared for her, Debbie Miller; and special friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford, James and Ronald Perkins; and a sister, Martha J. Stover.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday, November 21, 2003 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Carl Cunfer. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1950 Arlingate Lane, Columbus, Ohio 45601.
