
Carroll Eugene Clark "Poppy", 66, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at his residence and is now Home and safe in the arms of the Lord. Born April 24, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Charles Emerson and Margaret Canfield Clark. He retired from Westinghouse and enjoyed cruising on his motorcycle, dancing of all kinds, from country line dancing to ballroom dancing. He also enjoyed camping with his family and sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Leona Christene Clark whom he married August 21, 1965; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lori Clark and their children, Kyler, Kanen and Kaleb, of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Klein and their children, Chelsea and Megan, of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Donna Clark and their children, Janell and Rachell of Mansfield; son and his special friend, Jon Clark and Eksha Limbu and his children, Amanda and Zachary of Mansfield; two sisters, Darlene Chaffin and Doris Stan Hoffman both of Mansfield; two brothers, Teddy Ray Clark and James Marsha Clark both of Marengo; special brother-in-law, John McGregor and his family of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Carroll Alan Clark; his parents; a brother, Charles Richard Clark; and two sisters, Garnet "Sis" Brinegar and Hazel Blanton.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at The Salvation Army Church, 47 S. Main Street, Mansfield, OH. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at The Salvation Army Church conducted by Major Marcus Jugenheimer. Friends may also call one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MedCentral Hospice, The Salvation Army Church or Riverside Methodist Hospital Ohio Health Foundation.
