Catherine Armstrong

Catherine Armstrong, 94, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Oak Grove Manor. Born August 17, 1914 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of David and Margaret Mertler Keehner. She was a member of the Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church. Catherine enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, and cleaning.

She is survived by four children, Evalene Ward, Judy Carl Adams, all of Mansfield, Wayne Sally Armstrong of Lucas, and Dale Pat Armstrong of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Kaler of Largo, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Carolyn Bond of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; son, Harvey; brother, Nick; and sister, Sue Tucker.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home conducted by the Illinois Avenue Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
