
Charles William 'Bill' Calhoun, age 76, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon March 15, 2001 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Calhoun was born December 2, 1924. He was a retired carpenter from J & B Acoustics. Mr. Calhoun was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local #735, Sons of Italy Lodge #1223, VFW Post #9943 and an avid hunter & fisherman. He was a veteran of the United Sates Air Force.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Billie Jean Crose of Greenup, Kentucky, Rita Jean & Rick Jordan of Willard, Ohio; a son-in-law, Jim Fear of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Sheila, Lonnie, Lori, Randy & Jimmy; nineteen-great-grandchildren, Junior, Cynthia, Jean, Ruthy, Danny, Destiny, Candice, Erin, Wesley, Jessica, Allisha, William, Ryan, Tyler, Kasey, JD, Princess, Dustin and Spencer; former wife, Delores Bond Calhoun; and a sister, Virginia Birdwell of Kingsport, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, William James & Georgia Hensley Calhoun; first wife, Princess Lura Rose Calhoun; his third wife, Barbara Barber; a daughter, Sandra Gay Fear; two grandsons, Rusty & William David Crose; three sisters, Mae Miller, Helen Eads, Jaunita Palmateer; and two brothers, Myles Ray & Herbert Niles Calhoun.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m., conducted by Pastor Daniel E. Bates. Military graveside services will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Veterans.
