
Charles L. Crandall, 81, of Mansfield died Sunday evening, August 11, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Mr. Crandall was born July 15, 1921 in North Ridgeville, Ohio and was an area resident since 1992. He was formerly employed as an inspector and metal finisher with Ford Motor Company. Charles was a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a 1st Lieutenant serving with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed doing yard work and reading.
He is survived by three sons, James Crandall and Gerald Crandall both of Columbus, Ohio, Keith Crandall of Cincinnati; three daughters, Susan Frederick of Cadillac, Michigan, Sharon Crandall of Mansfield, and Pamela Crandall of Euclid, Ohio; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Bucks of Belmont, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Bernadine Donnelly Crandall; his parents, Charles Leon and Treva Crandall; and a sister, Francis.
Friends may call at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1040 W. Cook Road, from 1-1:30 p.m. with services beginning at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 14 and will be conducted by Pastor Larry Grahn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Mansfield Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School.
