Charles Pauley

Charles D. ''Charlie'' Pauley Jr. 61, of Mansfield, Ohio died unexpectedly Thursday, October 5, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield. He was born July 20, 1939 in Hugheston, WV to Charles D. Sr. & Laura Elizabeth Lynch Pauley. Mr. Pauley graduated from Cedar Grove High School, WV and retired from General Motors after 33 years. He served in the United States Army, a member of Ontario Amvets #31, VFW Grace Street #9943. His main enjoyment in life was spending time with his kids and grandchildren. ''Charlie'' was a very family oriented, sincere, kind and sentimental man. He enjoyed golf and wood working in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife of thirty nine years, Sandra Martin Pauley; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard ''Rick'' Pauley of Ontario, OH and Brett W. & Heather Pauley of Lexington, OH; three grandsons, Chad M., Tyler F. and Brett W. Jr., Pauley; one sister and brother-in-law, Mike & Beverly Hedrick of Charleston WV; a sister-in-law and her fiance, Patricia Martin Ballard & Richard Chadwick; uncles and aunts, Mrs. Regina Craffey of Charleston, WV, Alfred &Vicki Lynch of Boomer, WV, Bernard & Jean Lynch of Rand, WV and Wanda Lynch of Montgomery, WV; five nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. & Elizabeth Pauley; a sister, Margaret McGuire; grandparents, John F. & Margaret Lynch and John & Molly Pauley; three uncles, Vincent, Louis Lynch and Pete Craffey.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, October 8, 2000 from 6 - 9 p.m. with a brief service held at 8:00 p.m. Calling will also be one hour prior to the regular service which will be held Monday, October 9, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. John Lynch. Burial will be held at Mansfield Memorial Park.
