
Charles H. Woodruff, 90, formerly of 2000 Rosewood Drive died Tuesday afternoon . February 15, 2000 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following a five year illness. Mr. Woodruff was born May 25, 1909 in Columbus, Ohio living in the Mansfield area since 1964. He retired from Crowe Shoes and was a member of Community Baptist Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth Jacobs Woodruff of Mansfield, whom he married September 18, 1929; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck & Alta Woodruff of Ashland, Robert Woodruff of Westerville, and Jim & Ruth Woodruff of Wooster; five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy & John Harvey of Watsontown, Pennsylvania, Freda & Kenny Starkey of South Zanesville, Ohio, Betty & Jerry Dew of Corning, Ohio, and Mary & Mark Shaner and Maxine & Greg Cable, all of Glouster, Ohio; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Barnes of Vinton, Ohio; and a brother, Willard Woodruff of Bidwell, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elliott & Laurena Dupre Woodruff; and a daughter, Helen Gordon. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Randall Collins. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Baptist Bible Church.
