Charlie Wayne Boggs, age 75 of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at his residence following a lengthy illness with his family by his side. Born in Carter County, Kentucky on November 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Skaggs) Boggs.
Charlie was a devoted employee of Archway Cookies in Ashland and retired after 15 plus years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing; he loved to work in his workshop building carpentry projects, especially building things for his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing tournaments and was a member of Twin Lakes Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife Faye Boggs; son, David Boggs of Florida; step daughter Deborah (Mark) Lyles, step sons Doug Bandy, Charlie Bandy and Robbie Boggs; grandchildren Christopher (Shelly) Lyles, Nicholas Lyles, Levi Bandy, Ashley Bandy, Amber (Dakota) Gatten, and Matthew Bandy; great-grandchildren Kinsley Maynard, Gavyn Lyles, Kody Bandy, Xavier Gatten, and Hendrix Gatten; siblings, Linda Harris, Jack (Peggy) Boggs, Ed (Jan) Boggs, Rusty Boggs, Luk Boggs, Matt (Laura) Boggs, Mark Boggs and Debbie (Dave) Pfleiderer; several aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tim Boggs; his sister-in-law, Cheryl Boggs; and brother-in-law, Jim Harris.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Open Bible Church, 1150 Rayfield Dr, Mansfield, OH 44905. The funeral service will follow in the church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dink Porter officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
