
Cheryl Demetria Lewis, 59, of Mansfield, died Saturday, October 30, 2010, at The Good Shepherd Home in Ashland following a 10 year battle with cancer. Born November 6, 1950, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Glenn and Wanda Means Prosser. Cheryl worked as an analyst at Century Link and was a member of "Reach for Recovery". She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, was an avid reader and raised "Boxers". Cheryl loved going to the family summer home on Lake Erie at Zeller's Beach where she enjoyed boating and spending time with her family. A very devoted and loving mother, Cheryl was active in her children and grandchildren's lives, following and supporting them in their activities. She was her happiest when her family was all together.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Brent Lewis; three daughters, Dawn Dan Liedorff of Wakeman, OH, January Brett Murgatroyd of Lore City, OH and Melissa Ty Stover of Centerburg, OH; five grandchildren, Mackenna Murgatroyd, Kendall, Kameron, Kolton and Kane Stover; three sisters, Cinda Phil Woods of CT, Glenna Dave Croft of San Antonio, TX and Marcia Geary of Greenwich, OH; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Aubrey Geary; and various aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Henry Parker. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breat Cancer Association or to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
