

Classie A. Harris, 94, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Arbors at Mifflin. She was born November 22, 1922, in Crawfordsville, Florida, to the late York and Georgianne (Harvey) Donaldson.
As a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, she loved talking to people about the Bible. She was a very independent woman, until her recent illness. In her free time, she loved reading and completing puzzles. Classie was an avid gardener and wonderful homemaker. Her infectious laugh was a beautiful sound; she was loved by everyone who knew her and will long be remembered.
Classie is survived by six children, Beulah Wiley, Jacqueline Crawford, Patricia Harris, Christine Harris, Norma (Mark) Tolson and Jonathan Harris; eight grandchildren, Dalanda (Mark) Yonley, Simone Robinson, Clarence (NaTasha) Harris, Jada (Junji) Tanaka, Chantal Harris, Merrill (Jaysherrie) Tufts, Andre (Shannon) Harris, and Tosha Phelps; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Inell Ross, Martha Davis, and Bridgette Rosier.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Harris; two daughters, Alene Harris and Jennifer Harris; a step son, Eugene Harris; four siblings, Louise Rosier, Pauline Foster, William Donaldson and Lizzie Harris; and a son-in-law, Wilford Wiley.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. with Elder Burt Edwards officiating. The family will also receive friends at Classie's home, 276 E. First St., from Tuesday, April 25, 2017 to Friday, April 28, 2017 between 4:00-8:00 p.m.
