
Clenny D. Smith, Jr. 72, of Mansfield, died early Saturday, November 14, 2009, at his residence. Born June 1, 1937 in Perrysville, he was the son of Clenny D. Smith, Sr. and Inez Chapman Smith. He worked as a butcher for 49 years at Boliantz Meats. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church. Clenny lived life to the fullest. He always liked to cook and try new meals and also travel. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his children, Clifford Diane Smith of Bellville, Gary Cecile Smith of Lexington, Tammy Mullins fiancé, David Osborne and Michael A. Korbas, both of Mansfield, Laurie Richard Setser and Tom Nancy Korbas, both of Johnsville; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Lou Young of South Carolina, Juanita Friend and Joannie Davis, both of Mansfield, Lorraine Stoops of Mifflin, Millie Uzunosf, and Martha Bloomfield. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Eileen Robinson; second wife, Janet K. McMahon Korbas; grandsons, James Aaron Christopher Smith and Farren Brady Smith; brother, Donald Smith; sister, Sharon Breckler; and daughter-in-law, Ronda Smith.
Friends may call Monday, November 16, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Craig Hamm and Pastor Jim Berry. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Leukemia Fund.
