

Cliff was born on November 26, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward and Martha (Olschewski) Hinz. Cliff owned and operated Hinz Marathon in Mansfield, and was a World World II Veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a member of First Christian Church. Cliff loved and adored his grandchildren. He found great pleasure in the time he spent with them, cherishing every minute. A kind man who had a willingness to always help others out, Cliff enjoyed plowing snow for his neighbors. He enjoyed fishing, and loved animals.
Cliff leaves behind his daughter, Stacia (William) Scott; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Rolf, Shealyn (Dominic Michalec) Scott, and Brynli Scott; step grandchild, Douglas (Denise) Scott; great grandson, Gage Russell; seven step great grandchildren; his caregiver, Steve Wymer; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years who passed away on May 27, 2011, Beth (Sneeringer) Hinz; his son who passed on December 28, 2015, Russell Hinz; his sisters, Irma Mora and Edna Hinz; his brothers, Herbert, Edward, Marvin, and Kenneth Hinz; and his brother-in-law, John Sneeringer.
The family will observe private services. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Hinz family.
