Clyde Taylor

Clyde H. Taylor, age 88, formerly of Betzstone Drive, died early Saturday morning in The Good Shepherd Home of Ashland following an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was born May 6, 1915 in Copley, Ohio and has been an area resident since 1953. Mr. Taylor was retired from Motor Freight Express.

Surviving are has wife, Esther Bohland Taylor of Ashland, one daughter, Estella Mae Stansberry of Mansfield and her children, Anissa C. Craft and Arminda L. Smith both of Mansfield, Gary A. Stansberry, Jr. of Lucas, Ohio, and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are three step-daughters, Diana L. Bail and Sharon R. Boyd both of Ashland, Pamela G. Boyd of Westerville, Ohio; nine step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Carrie McAfee Taylor, four brothers, Vern, Leon, Walter and Forest Taylor, and one sister, Doris Parker.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors; Tuesday, September 9, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. conducted by Rev. Patricia Reiter. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Akron, Ohio at 3 p.m. Wednesday following services.
