Curtis Daniel Kopp, 23, of Mansfield, entered into the loving arms of Our Lord and Savior in the early hours of June 15, 2015 due to an auto accident. Curtis was born December 16, 1991, the son of Steven Kopp and Carlena Evans. He spent most of his time in Mansfield, Ashland, and Columbus and spent many of his childhood years in Jeromesville, Ohio and Osteen, Florida.
Everyone who knew Curtis would tell you they didn't know which was bigger, his heart or his smile. At an early age, he could be found next to his dad and granddad trying to learn how to fix things and make them run. It lead him to becoming a very skilled auto mechanic and jack of all trades who was always eager to lend a helping hand, even to strangers. Curtis was known for always putting other's needs in front of his own. His pride and joy were his two children. His family will miss the way he would always take time to stop in and check on everyone just to make sure they were okay and didn't need anything. Those who loved Curtis will always remember his contagious smile, laugh, and jolly ways. Curtis could often be found hanging out with his best friend, his brother Steven Kopp.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Steven and Tammy Kopp, Carlena and the late Mark Evans, and step-father, Robert Nichols; his girlfriend of six years, Courtney Justice; children, Kimberly and Curtis; siblings, Steven (fiancee, Jenna Lambert) Kopp and their children, Riley and Weston, Cory (Ashley McAnalley) Adkins, Shawn (Savanna Williams) Kopp, Matthew (Jessica Shults) Evans and their daughter, Gracie, David Evans, and Morgan Kopp; grandparents, Irene and Al Kopp, Ray and Becky Weirick, Mike and Regina Clark, and Linda Hamm; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many great friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Allan Kopp. Burial will follow in Prince of Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the family may be made at any Wappner Funeral Home location.
