
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale A. Thomas, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 12, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in St. Charles, Michigan, on July 20, 1962, Dale spent his final years in Mansfield, Ohio, where he created lasting memories with his family and friends.
Dale was a man of many passions and interests. He had a unique love for collecting frogs and ducks, which brought him joy and sparked conversations with those around him. In his younger years, he found great satisfaction in building things, showcasing his creativity and craftsmanship. Dale had a special fondness for breakfast for dinner, a daily ritual that often included his favorite Dr. Pepper and a steaming cup of coffee. He had a sweet tooth for German chocolate cake, which was a staple at family gatherings.
Growing up, Dale cherished the time spent fishing and enjoying the beauty of the family farm. Family was everything to him, and he relished every moment spent with loved ones during gatherings that filled the air with laughter and love. His favorite place in the world was Chesaning Park, where he found peace in the presence of ducks and the soothing sound of a waterfall.
Dale was a devoted fan of WWE wrestling, often sharing the excitement of matches with his family and best friends. His spirit and enthusiasm for life were infectious, and he had a remarkable ability to bring people together.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina M. Thomas; his cherished daughter, Lucille C. Thomas; and his adored grandson, Jaiden H. Wood. Dale leaves behind a legacy of love through his siblings: Ronnie, Rosie, Billy, Harry, Betty, Kenny, Sandy, Dennis, and Sally, as well as many nieces, cousins, and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws, Lucille Dunn and nieces Justina, Elizabeth, Alexxius, and Madison. Dale's best friend, Leonard Clark, and his children, Shannon and Leonard Jr., will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Ivah C. Kutsch, and father, William Harry Thomas, as well as his siblings Mary Ann, Doris, Carolyn Sue, and sister-in-law Tammi J. Heffner. He was also preceded in death by his dear friend, Mary Clark.
In the words of his daughter, "Dad, you are in my heart, and I will always love and miss you. You brought so much joy to our family, more than you'll ever know. I salute you; I honor you for an infinite number of reasons, I celebrate you, and I thank you for so much more than I can express with these words. My gratitude to you is endless." His wife, Tina, beautifully expressed, "You are my heart, my soul, my love, my everything."
Dale A. Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
There will be no services or visitation observed.
