

David was a giving, strong willed, and proud individual. He had an impeccable sense of humor, always doing tricks and cracking jokes. He loved his guitar and playing for friends and family. David served his country in the United States Marine Corps 22nd amphibious unit, as part of the multinational peacekeeping force in Beirut, Lebanon. He was also a veteran of the Grenada rescue mission; later, he worked as a home improvement specialist.
Surviving are his son, Aaron Colbert; daughters, Michelle and Samantha Colbert; Rachel and Rebekah Frantz, and Bethany Miller, sisters, Laura Leiter and Vicki (Donnie) Piatt;
brother, Lonnie (Heather) Workman; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Steven D. Colbert and a brother-in-law, William Leiter.
There will be a Gathering of family and friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church, 210 Davis Road, Ashland, Ohio 44805. A graveside service with military honors at Ashland Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral costs.
