David Ernsberger

David Allen Ernsberger, 58, of Mansfield, died early Wednesday morning, September 26, 2007 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born April 8, 1949 in Mansfield, he was the son of Donald Ernsberger and Leila Umfleet Duncil. David loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting and enjoyed his boating. He was a former long-time employee at Garber Co. in Ashland where he worked as an offset pressman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Leila and Wilbert R. Duncil; two sisters, Beverly J. Ernsberger and Elizabeth E. Columbus Woodruff; two brothers, Raymond T. Stella Mae Ernsberger and John R. Beverly J. Ernsberger; nieces and nephews, Tammy, Kathy, Timothy, Bryan, Michael, Olivia, Vinnie, Thom, Karen, Daniel, Vanessa, Cody, Travis and Steve; companion, Roxanna Hicks; special friends, Dave and Norma Baker and Dave Cunning; and a host of other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald and nephew, Nicholas.

Friends may call from 3-6 p.m., Sunday, September 30 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. A graveside service conducted by Pastor Bruce Wilkinson will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery with military honors by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail.
