

David retired from Flxible Bus in Loudonville where he worked as an assembler. David enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of nature, in his younger years he enjoyed hunting. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed time on Charles Mill Lake. David grew up in the Mifflin area his whole life.
David is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Cheryl Gilbert; five daughters, Peggy (Steve) Ellis, Pam (Jeff) Gray, Vicki (Mark) Huff, Angie (Larry) Willis, and Janet (Tom) Baughman; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Bev) Gilbert; fishing buddy, Delbert Howman; and his furry kitty buddy, Sinatra. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ronald Gilbert.
Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Zehner Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Muskingum Watershed, 1319 3rd.
