David Kershner

David H. Kershner, 57, of Mansfield, died Wednesday morning, May 18, 2005, at his home. Born August 6, 1947, in Mansfield, he was the son of Harry and Naida Greene Kershner. He was employed with Botnick Realty. David attended Crossroads Community Church and enjoyed yard work and fishing. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Army and a member of the V.F.W. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paula Weirick Kershner; two daughters, Marie Tackett and Patty Shrader, both of Mansfield; five grandchildren, David Tackett, Devon Sowders, Allison Sowders, Josh Kershner, and Tristen Shrader; three brothers, Charles Kershner and Thomas Denise Kershner, all of Perrysville, and Robert Sue Kershner of Butler; sister, Nancy Kershner of Perrysville; sister-in-law, Arlene Kershner of Mansfield; and uncles and aunts, Wayne Pat Greene and Arthur Norma Greene. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harold Kershner and Fred Kershner; and sister, Roxanna Owens.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Sunday, May 22, from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
