David Wallace

Born March 23, 1947 in Shelby, he was the son of Noah and Geneva (Hicks) Wallace. He was very proud of obtaining his Associate Degree from North Central State College seven years ago. He was a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer Manager for Rable Machine. During the past few years he returned to his love of being a machinist at Rable. David was well educated and loved to debate any subject with anyone for the sake of conversation. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. David enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Linda (Webb) Wallace; two sons, Jason (Christy) Wallace of Mt. Gilead and Nathan Wallace of Shelby; a daughter, Jewel Lynn Wallace of Shelby; three grandchildren, Christy A. Wallace, Brittany L. Wallace and Melissa L. Wallace; three brothers, Noah (Lanna) Wallace Jr., Gary Marvin (Vicki) Wallace and Joseph Carl Wallace; and five sisters, Norma Dean Bodine, Ruthalean (Daniel) Thornton, Jeweldean (Roger) Sites, Nora Jean (Patrick) Williamson and Mary Kathleen (Michael) Ruch, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David Wallace II, and Jeremy Wallace; a daughter, Tamar Wallace; a sister, Delora Christeen Cole; and a brother, C. Elwood Wallace.

There will be no calling hours or services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Wappner Funeral Directors.
