
Dolores Mae Williams Baker, 76, of Mansfield, died Sunday evening, July 10, 2005 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after a brief illness. Born September 18, 1928 in Nora Springs, Iowa, she was the daughter of Opal Marie Tibbitts Williams. Mrs. Baker retired from Essex Wire. She had been an active homeroom mother at school with her children as they grew up.
She is survived by her mother, Opal Williams Squier; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis and Sandra Baker of Shelby, Terry and Barbara Baker of Mecklenburg, New York, and David Baker of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Michelle Tridico, Deanna Rule, Pamela King, April Baker, Julie Baker, and Nathane Baker; four great-grandchildren, Felicia and Thomas Tridico, Canon Lykins, and Kenton Baker; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger and Margaret Squier of Mason City, Iowa, Burr and Marvella Squier of Rudd, Iowa, Wendell and Betty Squier of Nora Springs, Iowa, Gary and LaVonne Squier of New Ulm, Minnesota, and Duane and Kim Squier of Hutchinson, Minnesota; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Inez Bendickson of Mason City, Iowa, Shirley and Roderick Sell of Nucla, Colorado, Bonnie and Bernie Bitzan of Alexandria, Minnesota, Donna Gnasdoskey of Isanti, Minnesota, Phyllis Brundell of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and Sandra and Don Schulte of Gaylord, Minnesota; and sister-in-law, Crystal Squier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; son, Steven; grandson, Eric; one brother, Truman Squier; two sisters, Irene Medlin, and Marlene Stumm; and step father, George Squier.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2005 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Association of Paralyzed Veterans.
