Dolores Sheldon

Dolores Sheldon, 84, of Mansfield, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was born to Ernest and Augusta (Olson) Whitlatch on December 7, 1931 in The Plains, Ohio.

Dolores worked at the family fishing resort in Wisconsin, which they owned for 10 years, and then later owned and operated the ski shop at Clear Fork Ski Resort for 25 years with her husband. She spent the rest of her life as a homemaker. Dolores enjoyed her women's Bible studies and had most recently attended Cook Road Baptist Church. She had a very servant heart for her family.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Jesse Sheldon; two sons, David (Lynn) Sheldon of Mansfield, and Steve (Jennifer) Sheldon of Ontario; eight grandchildren, Steven Roe, Kati (Andy) Yetter, Tammi (Tom) Wright, Kerri Sheldon, Jake (Ashley) Sheldon, Jesse Sheldon (JD), Johnny Sheldon, and Jimmy Sheldon; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Whitlatch and William Whitlatch.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd. A Graveside service, officiated by Rev. Carl Cunfer, will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice.
