Donald E. Armstrong, 77, of High Point, North Carolina, died early Friday morning, March 4, 2005. Born February 17, 1928, in Mansfield, he was the son of Ray C. and Irene Mamber Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong retired from Tappan Company after 40 years of service as a supervisor. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Marvin Honeycutt of Trinity, N. Carolina and Cindy and Earl Waddell of Brown Summit, N. Carolina; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Lana Armstrong of Clearwater, Fla.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two brothers, Walter Armstrong of Toledo and Bruce Armstrong of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Margaret Stewart.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
