
Donald M. 'Butch', Mathews, 60, of Reynoldsburg, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at OSU Medical Center. Born February 19, 1947 in Mansfield, he was the son of Donald C. and Helen E. Mansfield Mathews. He served in the Ohio National Guard, Division 6, Mid Central Region. Donald was a member of the Lions Club and the National Model Railroad Association NMRA. He was a former Civil War Reenactor and he enjoyed photography.
He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Hrivnak Mathews; two sons, Donald H. Mindy Mathews of Gahanna, and Stephen T. Carrie Mathews of Medina; grandchildren, Jane of Westchester, Delaney and Donovan, both of Gahanna; his four legged companion, Eddie; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Alan Hendricks of North Olmstead, Bonnie Hrivnak of Hartwell, Georgia, and Linda Doug Barker of Mansfield; nieces and nephew, Christy Moore of Anderson, South Carolina, Cary Beth Woodard of Columbus, and Brett Alyssa Woodard of Mansfield; four great nephews; and two great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 2:15 p.m. at Mansfield Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Earl Schafer. Memorial contributions may be made to OSU James Cancer Research Center or OSU Ross Heart Hospital.
