Donna Hoover Smith

Donna C. Hoover Smith, 71, of Mansfield died Monday July 9, 2001 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mrs. Smith was born February 20, 1930 in Mansfield residing in the area all of her life. She was a member of Diamond Hill Cathedral. Donna liked playing her organ at home, and was an excellent cook.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry W. Caltrider Sr. of Mansfield; and Ron Sr. and Judy Caltrider of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Amber D., Larry W. Jr., Christopher, Aaron, Ronnie Jr., Tammy L., Michael, Robert Jr., and Scott Caltrider; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene Hoover of Phoenix, Arizona; and David Hoover of North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mae Benninghoff Hoover; her husband, Earnest Smith Jr.; one son, Robert Caltrider; two brothers, Wayne and Merle Hoover; and one sister, Nora Mounts.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday July 11, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services, which will be held on Thursday July 12, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Diamond Hill Cathedral. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Diamond Hill Cathedral.
