

Doretha P. Reed 'Book' Preston, 70, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Saturday December 4, 2004 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Born July 27, 1934 in Elkhorn, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Arthur and Lucy Goodman Reed, Sr. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on South Main St., where she was an active member. Her hobbies included flowers and books. She was a kind, concerned and loving woman. Survivors include her husband, Herman Preston, Sr.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Tim Preston Lynn, Herman Preston, Jr. Catherine, Calvin Preston, Sr. Marilyn, all of Mansfield, and Christopher Preston, Sr. Cassandra of Columbus; one daughter, Linda D. Preston of Mansfield; 12 grandchildren, Vincent, Herman Jerrod, Tamiko, Calvin Jr, Clay, Brittany, Marissa, Christopher Jr., Julius, Jas, Shawnquail, and Deasanna; and one great granddaughter, Bailey; two sisters and brother-in-law, Wyozetta White of Mansfield, and Evelyn Rawls Danny of Columbus; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, good friends, cousins, aunts and uncles; special sisters, Betty Reed, Dora Reed Hank, and Irene Belcher Shirley; and special family, Joy and Brenda. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Arthur 'Buster' Reed, Jr. and Clarence 'Fox' Reed.Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday December 10, 2004 at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Elder Rodrick Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
