
Doris I. Hoover Davis, 74, of Galion, passed away Saturday evening, June 29, 2002 at Woodlawn Nursing Home following an extended illness. Doris was born November 27, 1927 in Ontario, Ohio to Chester & Mary Reidel McBride. She retired from Westinghouse after 30 years of service and enjoyed music, traveling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley & Dennis Cowell of Daytona Beach, Florida and Jeannie & Wayne Robertson of Mansfield; one stepson and spouse, Ted & Nancy Hoover Jr. of Mansfield; two stepdaughters and spouse, Patricia & Frank Poth of Olivesburg, Ohio and Sandra Edwards of Mansfield; 7 grandchildren and 12 step grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Willard & Norma McBride, Herbert & Sandra McBride and Leonard & Dorothy McBride, all of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore Hoover Sr., a brother, Louis McBride; and a stepdaughter, Ila Mae Clinage.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, July 3, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Paul Tracey. Burial will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
