
Doris M. 'Dot' Porter Erhart, 86, of Mansfield died Friday December 28, 2001 at SCCI Mansfield following an extended illness. Mrs. Erhart was born February 18, 1915 in Athens County, Ohio residing in the Mansfield area most of her life. She was a loving homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Bible. Mrs. Erhart was formerly active at Diamond Hills Baptist Church where she was involved in the Circle of Concern, a Sunday School Teacher and a former Deaconess. Doris enjoyed baking pies, making candy, sewing, flower making and arranging.
Doris went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Joseph J. 'Joe' Erhart of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia H. and Neal Baker; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Joseph O. and Cassandra Erhart; and William Erhart all of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Virginia Porter of Bellville; and Lewis and Hazel Porter of Plumber, Idaho; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bertha Porter; one son who died in Vietnam, Michael D. Erhart; and four sisters, Cuba Secrist, Virginia Snyder, Madeline Reib and Mary Hammermiller.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday January 2, 2002 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 3, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Baptist Bible Church conducted by the Pastor Randall Collins. Burial will be in Lantz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Baptist Bible Church.
