
Dorothy Winnie Mack, 76, of Mansfield, died early Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born July 26, 1929, in Pensacola, Florida, to Mack and Elizabeth Celestine Morris. She was formerly employed at Rable Screw Machine and attended Greater St. John Church of Christ. Dorothy enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou Dale Billard and Chenita James Jackson, all of Mansfield; five sons, Christopher Holmes, John Sylvia Holmes, Richard Paula Holmes, Charlie Mack, all of Mansfield, and Emory Linda Holmes of Chicago; twenty-two grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earl Margie Morris, Henry Luvenia Morris and Applonia 'Uncle Mack' Earline Morris, all of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Oliver Holt, Sr. of Mansfield; good friend, Twyla Wilkins of Mansfield; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Mack in March 1990; two sons, Robert Holmes and Donald Mack; daughter, Rozelia Tillman; three sisters, Audrey, Delia and Fannie; and two brothers, Addison James and Coleman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, officiated by Rev. Clarence J. Sanderfer. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mansfield Kidney Center or the Friendship Center. The family will be receiving friends at 252 East Arch St.
