Dorothy Marti

Dorothy Jean Marti, 78, of Mansfield died Thursday afternoon, August 14, 2003 at Woodlawn Nursing Home after an extended illness. Mrs. Marti was born December 3, 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio living in the area all of her life. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1943. She retired from the Ohio State Reformatory after 13 years where she was an accountant. She was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church, International Highway Patrol and Amvets Post #26 Ladies Auxiliary where she was past president. Dorothy was also a volunteer for MedCentral.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Antonette 'Toni' & Terry Lind of Bucyrus; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny & Brenda Marti of Mansfield; two grandsons, Anthony Marti of Redmond, Oho and Danny Joe Marti II of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Mary Jo Smith of Mansfield; a brother, Thomas Ross of Georgia; a half brother, Michael Ray Ross of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Ray & Almeda Ross; and her husband, Anthony Joe Marti.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 3-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Dr. Wray C. Smith. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Tracy Clinic in care of Amvets Post #26 Ladies Auxiliary.
