Eddie "Ed" Pennington

Eddie "Ed" W. Pennington, 66, of Galion, Ohio passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 at Galion Community Hospital. He was born August 7, 1950 in Jonesville, Virginia to Edgar and Mary (Kirk) Pennington.

Eddie went to Clark Tech College in Springfield, Ohio, where he earned his Associate of Science degree. He began his Medical Laboratory Technician career in Marion, then worked at the Crestline Hospital for over 20 years until they closed. Eddie most recently worked for Morrow County Hospital for the last 15 years. Eddie enjoyed watching old western movies and the Macum auto auctions for old cars. He also loved to cook for his family and friends, and of course eating with them too. Eddie was always willing to help others, teaching when he could or helping them get the information they needed. Eddie was truly a one of a kind soul and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Green) Pennington; two children, Charla René (Derrick) Jones; and Eddie (Wanda Hoskins) Pennington Jr.; grandchildren, Christina (Chad) Kendall, Katlin Hoskins, and Brittany Hoskins; and a great-granddaughter, Kylah Kendall. Eddie is preceded in death by his parents.

Per Eddie's request, no services will be observed. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
