
Edith M. Frisby, 68, of Butler, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, October 6, 2006, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born December 31, 1937, in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Elizabeth C. Hammer Wagenhals. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Edith worked at Therm-O-Disc for 15 years and had previously worked for Peabody-Barnes until the plant closing. She enjoyed reading, golfing and trips to Las Vegas.
She is survived by a daughter, Michele Johnson of Butler; four sons, Phillip Gleason of Phoenix, Arizona, Sheldon Gleason of Butler, Michael Gleason of Newark and Joseph Gleason of Gresham, Oregon; a granddaughter, Amber Johnson of Butler; three grandsons, Kyle, Camron and Cody Gleason of Oregon; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Debbie Wagenhals of Marblehead; very special friends, George and Corrine Smith of Mansfield; and a host of nieces, nephews and good friends.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, with Pastor Phil Green officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
