

Born June 21, 1918 in Cleveland, he was the son of John and Anna (Kovach) Bukszar. Edward grew up on Buckeye Road attending St. Elizabeth School and East Tech High School. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked for Perfection Stove and retired from National Acme. Edward was devoted to his church in Cleveland, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed golfing and working in his yard. Above all, his family brought him the most enjoyment. Edward had an intriguing personality which afforded many wonderful family conversations around the dinner table, conversations that ultimately would end in laughter. He will be remembered for his loving, caring and generous heart.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Elizabeth (Clark) Bukszar whom he married October 7, 1939; two daughters, Virginia “Ginny” (Stephen) Yusko of Ashland and Bobbie Bukszar of Novato, CA; one son, Edward Bukszar, Jr. of Vancouver, Canada; five grandchildren, Stephen, Jeannette, Laura, Elizabeth and Sasha; and one great grandson, Billy; a brother, Walter; and a sister, Annamarie. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Raymond Bukszar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 9016 Buckeye Road, Cleveland. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Solon, Ohio where full military honors will be conducted. Friends may call from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. at the church on Monday.
