Edward "Eddie" Chastain, 34, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 31, 2021 at his residence. Born November 25, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Douglas and Joellen (Hollingshead) Chastain.
Eddie worked for Oxyrase as a lab tech. A very laid back country boy, he was kind hearted and was an avid fisherman. His favorite song was "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem". Eddie was a good father who loved his family very much especially his children and his mother. Although he had his struggles in life, he kept a faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ which his mother also had and now has joined her in Heaven.
He is survived by his father, Douglas Chastain; the mother of his children, Charity Chastain; his children, Carter, Carson, Deangelo and Nevaeh; his brothers, Todd Chastain and Jeremy Chastain (Melinda Howard); several nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Connie Chastain; his mother-in-law, Beverly Jane Baker; and his brothers-in-law, Stanley Raymond Baker, Jesse William S. Baker and Garrett A.J. Baker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joellen Chastain.
